REMOTE SIMULTANEOUS INTERPRETING

OPEN FOR EVENTS NOW

Mercado Interpreting has taken the decision  to offer  the best possible results for Remote Simultaneous Interpreting  in partnership with technically proven providers,.

Where from ?

From a permanent base in South Wimbledon, Greater London, UK or anywhere with enough space and  reliable and proven fast broadband.

Why?

For safe practices and social distancing while continuing with the highest standards of work and service.

How does  it work?

Incoming audio and video received over Zoom  is sent to interpreters’ Bosch DCN NG consoles in the booth.

Audio is sent through a digital mixer to ensure the best possible sound eliminating any chance of  audioshocks.

A second console with loudspeaker  is present to allow the passive interpreter to follow the active interpreter without changing headphones that cause delays, interruptions and loss in the delivery of speech.

Languages are distributed over a Zoom webinar plug-in, OR alternatively Webex/MS etc.

This seamless connection  is not possible when interpreters work from home where there is weak and delayed real time connection with the booth partner  as the counterpart/s  cannot see each other or listen to each other   to make the correct changeover due to current technological shortcomings.

(The meetings which have been taken place in the last five months without being anchored in a HUB have clearly demonstrated that events with no hubs offer very poor results due to ad hoc, low quality connections and that was the very reason why www.mercadointerpreting.com  did not offer them.)

Specific solutions for in person AND remote services (hybrids) are also  available if needed.

Advantages of working from a Hub:

Working from a hub a team of professionals can deliver good and well coordinated results in the absence of invaluable face to face meetings.

Technicians for interpreting equipment  AND, broadcasting services are present, offering real time solutions.

Clients save in most (not all ) cases from paying travelling international expenses.

We look forward to working with you again soon.
